ColiiEiibis S ;f5p5 Boardman Couple By MART UE MARLOW BOARDMAN Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dillon were honored re cently with a reception at the Greenfield Grange hall for their 60th wedding anniversary. Hosts for the affair were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Les Moon of Boardman, and their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Dillon of Wlkonvllle. About 105 friends and reltives called during the afternoon. Charlie Dillon, who is 90 yenrs of age. and Clara Vlbbert, who is now 81, were married at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vlbbert, at Agency Plains near Madrns Feb. 8, 1911. Dillon and Vibbert had made the trip to Prineville, 35 miles away, to get the marriage li cense, by team and buggy. They came to Boardman in 1920 and have lived here since. Besides their son. Warren, and daughter Carol Moen, they have another daughter, Mrs. W. G. Wrenn, of Seattle, Wash., who was unable to attend the recep tion. They also have four grand children, Bill Getz of Milton Freewater, Kathy Getz of Board man, Jimmle Dillon of Klamath Falls, and Mrs. Robert Gruber of Ashland; and four great grandchildren, Stanley and Stev en Getz of Mllton-Freewater, and Michael and Brian Dillon of Klamath Falls. Mrs. LaVern Partlow and Mrs. Warren- Dillon cut and served the cake, Mrs. Bill Getz poured the coffee, and Mrs. Sam De- We blew our stack Feb. 16 here at the G-T. Wasn't a loss of temper, either. The furnace had a malfunction, had a little explosion in the chimney push ing some bricks askew. No oth er damage except to our ha ha dignity. Prineville Services For Harlan Denton Mrs. Raymond French has re eclved word of the death of her brother, Harlan Denton in Prine ville. Mr. Denton died the morn ing of March 1. Services were held Wednes day, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prineville Masonic Temple. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Denton's memory. Mr. Denton had resided in Prineville since 1948 where he was a barber. Prior to moving to Prineville, he had been a resident of Kinzua. asm Electric Oregon 4-H Leaders To Attend Forum on Youth Development Understanding the role of the adult ill leader In the develop- ment of youth will be the lo cus when 15 Oregon 4-H leaders join others from the Western states at the sixth annual West ern Regional 4-H Loaders Forum In Reno, Nev. Dates of the forum are March 4 through 8, reports Miss Mary Abbott, Oregon State University extension assistant state home economics leader, who will ac company the delegation.
