Feb. 23. from 1 to 3 pm. at the Grange HaU. ThU U the annual fund raising proj ect for the Grange with the pro ceeds to go to the Building Im provement Fund. The menu In cludes Swedish meatball, chick en and a choice of salads and desserts. The committee in charge of the dinner Is Mrs. Ed Hunt. Mrs. C C. Jones and Mrs. Norman Nebon. Land Banks Lower Interest Rate Spokane The new loan rate fod Federal Land Bank borrow era was reduced to 714 percent, efectlve March 1, announced Fred A. Knutsen, president of The Federal Land Bank of Spo kane. Prior to thU action the rate was S percent The new rate was approved by the Board of Directors of The Federal Land Bank of Spokane. This reduction will also affect the interest rate on over $121 million of Variable Rate loans wlrtten at 8 percent which will be billed at 7 percent and those Variable Rate loans writ ten at 8 percent will be billed at the rate of 7V4 percent from March 1.
