Mrs. Wolff, who grew up in Minnesota was pleased to see Saskatoon berries again. They were at 100 Mile House which a couple of years ago had only 2 or 3 stores. Today it has two big supermarkets and has a population of 9000. To come home the Collins' turned west and came down the Frazier to Hop and the Wolff's went east. Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Wolff, Bill. Kelley and Shelley, Tom and Kathy enjoyed a family vucu t ion. They pulled their trailer into a trailer park at Pentictonj about 12:30 at night. They were late because their trailer hitch had broken and had to be weld ed. Surprise! The next morning they discovered parked right be hind them, Dr. Tills and Fisks from Pendleton. They took a side trip to Ma hood Lake, deep in the mount ains and parked right next to an Oregon license from Eugene. When they turned east to make the return trip they came down through Grand Forks. They found it to be a well pav ed highway with lesser travel. Enroll! They came across the historic Lolo Pass to Lewiston and home. Automotive The Seamstresses 4-H sewing club of lone, met in the base ment of the lone Catholic Church on August 4, 1970. Our leader, Mrs. Doherty, helped us fill out our pre-registration forms for the fair. Our next meeting will be August 19, in the Cath olic Church basement with Ar- lynda Aldrich as hostess. Host ess today was Kathy Kincaid. Joan Doherty, reporter Tastor and Mrs. Ellis Parker are leaving next week to make their home In Klamath falls. Mr. and Mrs. Parker have served the Heppner Assembly of God Church this past year. They traveled as evangelists for two years before coming to Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Parker, Sr. have the Klamath Music Center at Klamath Falls and their son will be helping them in the store in addition to giving mu- Hennll)ton' sic lessons ana preacning. Earl Wilson of Las Vevas, Nev., visited last week with the Harvey Smiths. He has a ranch at McNab and while here took care of some ranching business. sons Leroy and Jay were in The Dalles last Tuesday on business. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Wint er went to Hermlston where Dean had medical care. ' Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Mur- dock were business visitors to Bend last Tuesday. The regular meeting of the Camp 5 Womens Club was held Wednesday evening at the Camp 5 Community Hall with six members present. The meeting was in charge of president Ter ry Todd, who was also the host ess. The Wheeler County Fair float was discussed and a theme selected. Dick Shaeffer has do nated use ol his building in I Fossil for preparation work. The Food Corner at the Quonset hut was also discussed and the menu approved. The door prize was won by Terry Todd. "Spill and Spell" was played with the winners being Carol Thomas, Carol Norrls, Rose Hardwick, and Frances White. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Todd and son Gary went to Hermiston Sat urday where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hollomon and daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Sharp went to Adams Saturday on bus iness and then to Weston where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Grogan. Mrs. Herschel Murdock went to Portland Friday to return Pat rick Bell and Teresa Frank to their homes after having spent the past week hero. She visited with Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bell, Jr. and when she returned home brought Betty Bell and Barbara frank to spend the week. Richard Mortimore went to Portland Saturday on business. Miss Genine Hardwick and Miss Kathy Nelson spent Friday on a shopping tour to Madras. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Norrls and son Kenny to Spanawny ar rived Friday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Don Culver at Service Creek and with Mr. and Mrs. tarl Norrls at Camp 5. The 21th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Omar Stubble field was the occasion for a fam ily picnic at Bull Prairie Sun day.
