Mark Murray Takes Bride Sandra Leigh McBride and Mark Andrew Murray were mar ried June 14" at Newberg in a ceremony attended by members of their family and close friends. Sandra Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. McBride and Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rod Murray of Heppner. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Leroy Jaquith of the Gospel Chapel. The bride given in marriage by her father wore a white shantung A-llne dress with lace embroidery at the neck and a double row down the skirt. She had a shoulder length lace veil. She carried a white Bible that her grand mother had given her topped by a bouquet of multi-colored roses. Mrs. Raymond Cardwell, close friend of the bride was matron of honor. Anne Murray, small sister of the bridegroom was flower girl and John Murray, his brother, was ring bearer. Mrs. Cardwell and Anne wore pastel green gowns. Matt Murray was best man for his brother. Ushers were Dwlpht McBride, brother of the bride and Ray Jones of Hepp ner. The reception was held at the bride's home. The young couple is in lone for the summer where Mark will be employed at Murrays Drugs. They will be In Corvallis this fall where he will take his sen ior year in Pharmacy at OSU. Honored In lone The young couple was honor ed at a reception in lone Sun dav afternoon at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Koa Murray, many friends of the area came to greet The theme for Ruby Becket's year as worthy matron of Ruth Chapter No. 32 of OES 1970-71 is worthy of thought: "Let there be Peace on Earth and let it begin with me". Following Mrs. Bucket's installation Monday evening. Mrs. Hubert Wilson sang the song with the Bame words accompanied by Mrs. Inez Huffman. After Mr. Becket was installed as worthy patron, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson sang "How Great Thou Art" also accompanied by Mrs. Huffman. As the worthy matron and patron were escorted to their stations, Rainbow Girls formed n hnnnr puflrd and an arch with canes tied with rainbow ribbons for them to pass through. Installing Officers Installing officers were Vlr ginla Wilkinson and Paul Jones, Installing Grand Chapter Offi cers. nainhnw Girls forming tne honor guard were Christie Tay lor, Mary Kay Hughes, Sue Mel by, Sandy Matinews, Mills and Karen Cox. Rainbow Girls Attend Grand Assembly Ruth Assembly, and Hrpp ner's Rainbow girls received a nnmhrr of hnnora at Grand As sembly Friday and Saturday at Oregon State. Karla Weatherford was nam ed Grand Faith. Sue Melby re ceived a 5125 scnoiarxnip ana Ruth Assembly No. 50 won a trophy for having the most ser vice points in the eastern half of the state. Girls attending were Christl Taylor. Karen Cox, Sally Win ter, Sue Melby, Sandy Matth ews, Karla Weatherford, Doane McLachlan, Patty Taylor, Cindy Harsln, Teresa Wright and Eliz abeth Stevens.
