sented each senior with a Bible,

John Kenney, pastor of the As

gon, gave the benediction. The

The Tilllcum Children's Li
brary was selected as the name
for the library the club Is spon
soring for elementary pupils at
the high school.
The club will be In charge of
the reception for the seniors fol
lowing graduation May 22. Mrs.
Ralph Skoubo is chairman.
The club voted to sponsor a
4-H scholarship to summer
school for a Boardman club
club member.

The girls held a fashion show
with Diane Black as narrator.
A tea hour followed. The girls
introduced their mothers and
guests.

Greenfield Grange met Satur
day night at the hall, starting
with potluck supper at 6:30. Mrs.
Glen Carpenter was hostess.
Guests were Cecil Jones,
grange insurance agent, and
Delpha Jones, district 6 chair
man of the WAC of the grange,
both of Lexington.
Donald Baker was elected to
the office of steward, and was
installed by Nathan Thorpe,
county deputy. Upon the resig
nation of Martha Baker as jun
ior grange matron, Virginia Phil
lips was elected to replace her.
Margaret Thorpe was elected
as alternate delegate to the
State Grange session to be held
at Hood River the third week
in June, and Nathan Thorpe
was elected as grange insurance
representative at the session.
Wins Cotton' Sewing Contest
Mrs. Jones announced that
Margaret Thorpe had won first
place in the Grange cotton sew
ing contest in Morrow County,
Her dress will be entered in the
state contest. If a winner in
.'that contest, it will be entered
in the national contest.
Mrs. W. G. Seehafer was ap
pointed to serve on the audit
ing committee to replace Arthur
Allen.
Mrs. Baker announced that
she had the petition regarding
iormmg a rural fire district and
needed help to circulate it. She
stated that if it isn't on the bal
lot for the November election, it
can't be voted on before 1972.

per during June, July and Aug
ust. Grange will start at 7:30
p.m. , .
Grange Meets
A special meeting was held
by Greenfield Grange to exemp
lify the third and fourth degrees
for Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harrison,
Mrs. Larry Phillips and Jack
McEntire, new members. Morton
Wolverton, master of Columbia
Grange at Hermlston, and Alex
Jones, also of Columbia Grange,
were present and assisted with
he initiation.
Grange met Wednesday at the
home of Mrs. Glen Carpenter.

Mrs. Steve Highley and Mrs. M.
I, Overson.
Mrs. Waller Hayes. Mrs. Larry

Horn Extension Meets
The Home Extension Unit met

anyone not present wanting lit
erature on the subject could ob
tain them. They showed charts
that told how to save percent
ages of income for retirement
and what they would have at
the end of different terms of
years.

Medic Alert- Wins
P. R. Award
Medic Alert, international
foundation for persons with hid
den medical problems, received
a Silver Anvil Award from the
Public Relations Society of
America (PRSA) at the 26th Sil
ver Anvil Banquet held here to
night in the ballroom of the
Plaza Hotel. The awards are pre
sented annually in recognition
of outstanding professional pub
lic relations achievement.
The Medic Alert entry was sel
ected by the 33 -member panel
or judges as best in the promo
tional publicity category for non
profit organizations. Accepting
the award for Medic Alert was
its executive director, Alfred A.
Hodder.
Medic Alert, with headquart
ers in Turlock, Calif., was the
lone Western representative
among the 22 winners.
The foundation's public rela
tions counseling firm, Carl Byoir
& Associates, was the only ag
ency to win more than one
award. It received two Silver An
vils one for the Medic Alert
program, the other for Children's
Television Workshop, producer of
the network program "Sesame
Street."
The Medic Alert account is
handled by Byoir's San Francisco
office. Account executive is Rob
ert H. Richelson, the agency's
Western States manager, assist
ed by Alice Nichoson, formerly
of Morrow County. Her mother,
Mrs. Edith Nichoson, resides in
