Boardman Transfers Banking to Inland Empire Bank By MABY LEE MABLOW BOARDMAN At the meeting of the Boardman City Council Tuesday night of last week Mayor Dewey West, Jr. made proclamation designating May 1 at Law Day U.S.A. in the city of Boardman, and calls upon all citizens, organizations, aehools, churches, the media of Informa tion and businesses where pos sible to recognize thla special day and to Join In Its observ ance. In other business the council voted to transfer all banking ac counts to the newly opened In land Empire Bank in Boardman. The city's annual budget meeting Is scheduled for April 21 at 7:30 p.m. Members of the budget committee are Delbert Ball, Bud Michels, Rollo Moore, Zoe Billings, Walter Hayes, I. M. Docken and Rupert Kennedy. Election Held The Boardman Park and Rec reation District, which is In charge of the Boardman Marine Park being constructed by the U. S. Corps of Engineers, met last week with the budget com mittee and prepared the budget for the fiscal year 1970-71. The hearing will be held May 4 at 2 p.m. at the Boardman City hall. The election results were can vassed and the following terms for the board of directors was designated: Bob Sicard, three Arthur Allen and Harold Baker, two years; Carroll Dono van and Jerry Peck, one year. It's A GUI Mr. and Mrs. Dick Skoubo are the parents of a daughter, Shan non Krlstlne, born April 10 at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston. She weighed 6 lb., 5 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Skoubo of Boardman and Mr. and Mrs. Nell Sutton of Rlverton, Wyo. Great grandpar ents are Mr. and Mrs. Chub War ren of Boardman and Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Getchell of Hermiston. Cord SeriM Will End The WAC of Greenfield Grange met at the grange hall Wednes day, starting with luncheon at 12:30. Mrs. Frank Marlow and Mrs. Davo Hanway were host esses. Guests were Mrs. Rollln Bishop and Teena Phillips. Mrs. Ronald Black reported on the luncheon for the Blue Moun tain District of Garden Clubs spring convention to be held Ap ril 15 at the grange hall.
