Otto Reed who has been re siding in the O'Meara apart ments has returned to his home in Walla Walla. Robert Cauble of Kennewlck is employed at the local pipe line station. He is residing in the O'Meara apartments. Gordon White spent the week end in Portland and Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Halvor sen were in Pendleton on Fri day afternoon and evening on business and to watch BMCC play Clackamas Community Col lege. Mrs. Ida Grabill was the hon ored guest at her home on Sun day in honor of her 88th birth day. Her birthday is Jan. 28, but it was convenient for all her children to gather at this time for well wishes. Those honoring Mrs. Grabill were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wright of Baker; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Keithley, Heppner; Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Bristow; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ellis, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Grabill, all of lone. Dropping in for best wishes to the honoree in the afternoon were her grandson, Donald Bristow and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Harrison of Lexington. Mrs. Harrison is Mrs. Grabill's granddaughter. Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Bristow were weekend guests at the home of their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bristow, who reside in Portland. Auxiliary Dates Pancake Supper Mrs. Eldon Tucker, president of the lone American Auxiliary announces there will be a pan cake supper held at the Legion Hall on Feb. 6, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to at tend. Admission will be announ ced at a later date. The lone Girls' Athletic Assn. started their basketball season this past Thursday, Jan. 22. They are being coached this year by Miss Lynn Bowman, who is taking the place of Mrs. Dennis McKay, who is on leave of absence from school. Mr. and Mrs. John Eubanks were hosts for a birthday din ner in honor of several mem bers of their family, at their home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rod Rodriguez and family of Hermiston were present and Earl Morgan of lone. Birthdays celebrated were for Sandra, her twin sons and Earl Morgan. Christopher Rea, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rea has return ed home following a bout with the flu. The young man spent six days in the Umatilla Hos pital because the Hermiston Hospital was unable to accom modate him as a patient due to the many ill patients already admitted. Llyod Howton and daughter Jackie spent the weekend at Eugene with Miss Joyce How ton. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rea were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brindle of Pendleton, Mr. and Mrs .John Howton of La Grande and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wallace of Ken newick. Martins Come & Go Mrs. Jim Martin and daugh ters of Pasco are visiting with relatives in this area for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Reed, par ents of Mrs. Martin, of Aurora, Iowa, were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Martin. Mrs. Jerry Martin was host for a birthday party in honor of her daughter Lisas 9th birth day on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Guests present to help Lisa celebrate included Kim Pettyjohn, Bobbi Abell, Michelle McElligott, Ap ril Miller and Arleta Aldrich. Mr. and Mrs. Harland Lundell of Boise, Idaho, spent Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Lindstrom. Mr. and Mrs. Lundell were in lone on business. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Kin caid and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bar nett were in Irrigon on Thurs day evening to pay a visit at the Irrigon Lions Club. Lion's Man Visits Zone 2 Chairman-36-G, Har old Stiller of Milton-Freewater visited at the lone Lions meet ing on Monday evening. Also visiting was the Milton-Freewater president Caroll Harman. It was announced that the lone Lions Club will hold a drawing in July as a fund rais ing campaign. First prize will be a mini bike; 2nd prize, a tape recorder and 3rd prize will be an electric razor.
