DOT'S JOTS
Well, we have brought over an
other load. I never recover from
the last one before we come back
with another one. We are both
agreed that It's Junk . . . but
I spell it Junque:

We 1, v.e Lit our heathen
ways and went to church Sun
day. We worshipped with our
Catholic friends and Father
Beard. We knew Father Beard
from Milton-Freewater days,
One time he came into our shop
and slapped his hand down on
my desk and said. "DOROTHY,
YOUR DESK LOOKS LIKE . ,
mine!" Don't know about the
good Father's but I'm afraid
mine looks worse now because
it's bigger!
Irvin Mann mentioned the
promiscuous living conditions at
the dorms at the University of
Oregon following his talk at
Chamber Monday. The girls go
down to the shower rooms and
there could very well be a boy
in there taking a shower! I
know times had changed but
not that much! He has two dau

WHAT'S COOK IN?
Here is another recipe from
the Seven Wonders With Beef,
Swiss Steak has always been a
favorite at our house but I've
never tried it with the noodles.
Must try it soon.
Swiss Steak Supreme
2 lbs. round steak
Vi cup flour
1 tsp. salt
18 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 cup canned tomatoes
1 pkg. frozen peas
2 large onions sliced
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cooked noodles.
Cut steak into portion-size
pieces. Combine flour, salt and
pepper. Pound flour mixture in
to meat. Heat fat or oil in large
skillet over low heat. Brown
meat on both sides. Add toma
toes, cover and cook for about
1 hour. Add peas. Place some
of onion slices on top of meat,
saving as a garnish enough for
1 or 2 slices per serving. Contin
ue to cook, covered about
hour longer or until meat and
onions are fork tender. Serve
on hot cooked noodles with re
maining slices of onions on top
of each portion of meat. Pour
pan drippings over all.
