Many young people and adults alike were on hand to enjoy the live music presented by Dallas McDaniol and Bob Stevens of the Rhea Creek Grange. The dining room and the meeting room were decorated In festive Halloween motif. Young sters and adults alike were adorned in various costumes do picting the occasion. Geneva Palmer received the prize for the best adult woman's costume; Carl Smouse, the best male adult; Junior girls prize went to Barbara Palmer, and Junior boys award was received by Jimmy Kinzer. The judges had such a difficult choice for the "younger" set, that they award ed a small prize to each girl and boy in costume. Along with the square danc ing, called by Carl Troedson, the young people enjoyed dan cine to records. Pinochle was en joyed by some of the guests and tne little kids tried their luck dunking for apples. It was noted that the young er set fully enjoyed the live music presented and many of the guests paid compliments to tne committee lor the lively music iurnisned by Mr. McDan iel and Mr. Stevens. Plans are to have a guest speaker, with final details to be announced later. Leo Crabtree had the misfor tune of severely cutting the thumb of his left hand while working on the cat. Noticing the belt appeared to be slip ping he attempted to tighten it while the machine was running. The blade came around, cutting through his glove. Maureen McElligott is spend ing a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don McElligott. Peter McElligott had a walk ing cast put on his leg Friday. Peter sustained an injury in a recent football game. It is quite painful as yet and may require him to be on crutches for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Halvor- sen went to La Grande for the Homecoming football game be tween EOC and OTI. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sherer and family have moved to the Lloyd Rice ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crabtree re ceived word their son, Ronald, has been a patient In the hos pital for a couple of days this past week.
