GAZETTE-TIMES A farewell coffee hour was held recently for Mrs. Ruth Jor dan at the Camp 5 Community Hall. Hostesses were Rose Hard- wick and Carol Norris. Present were Terry Todd, Dolores Wimer, taroi Thomas, Betty Murdock, and Marie Hulett. Sending gifts were Frances White, Pat Sharp, Pat Van Arsdale, Eva DoMeritt, Betty O'Neall, Laura Hire, Sue Mattison, Doris Stubblefleld, Donna Reece, and Faye Jones. The Jordans moved earlv this month to Davville where Tom will be employed by Tom Sil-vey. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wham went to Lostine July 12 to attend the wedding of Miss Janice Sarah and Mrs. Donald Bird of Feather and Mrs. Donald Brd of Feather Falls, Calif. Also attending the wedding from Kinzua was Der ral Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hampton went to Portland July 9 to meet her son, Donald Carey (Butch). wno is home on a 30-day leave after a tour of duty with the Navy in Vietnam. Visiting at the Hampton home over the week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Carey of Veneta. Milton Cooper of Fayettville, Ark., visited recently with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs, Donald Kist. Since then, the Kists have moved to Prineville where he will be employed, C. L. Flack has returned home from The Dalles where he had been hospitalized at The Dalles General hospital. Visiting Mr and Mrs. Flack there were their daughters, Mrs. Vernon Stelling or uugway, Utah, and Mrs. Lou is Canick of West Jordan, Utah Mrs. Jack Smiley and daueh ter, Wanda, have returned home from several weeks visiting rel atives in North Carolina. Earlv Juiy a Mrs. bmiley was taken by ambulance to The Dalles where she was hospitalized for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rice and Mrs. Don Slinkard went to Bend to get Mrs. G. L. Oyler and take her to Pendleton to take the train back to her home at Cher- ryvale, Kan. The Rices and Mrs. Slinkard then went on to The Dalles Friday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carver of Kansas City, Mo., visited a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Woods. The Woods family also went to Albany to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Lo gan. J. Bell. Srs. in Fossil. Jeannette Bell remain ed to spend a week visiting her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maneum and family went to Portland July 9 to spend several days on Business. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Benson of Albany visited with Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Conner and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Benson over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dyer were business vistors to Portland July ll. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Held and daughter Janet of Poca, W. V. spent several days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Parton and family. Also visiting with the Partons during the week-end was Thurman Dyer of Bryson Lity, . c. The new minister for the Kin zua Community church arrived this past week, and is Pastor and Mrs. William Ickert. They came here from Manning, near Banks. The Ickerts have six children, Hawley, who is mar ried, in the Navy and lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, Donald, who is with the Seabees at Gulfport, Miss., David, Daniel, Mark, and Esther. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Boring spent several days visiting in Port land, Salem, Eugene and the coast Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Morley and family spent several days last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Morley and family at Connell, Wash. Mrs. Lester Halverson of Omak, Wash., has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. James Walk er and with other relatives in Fossil. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Stewart went to Bend on July 6 to mwl Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mclvers and Miss Ingrld Ritchie of Tishomin go, Okla. Mclvers had been Kta tioned at Fort Polk, La., and left from Madras lor Travis Ar B in California and on to Vietnam. Mrs. Mclvers will remain with her parents for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Goodoll of Falls City, were Sunday and Monday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelso. Mr. and Mrs. Arne Slinkard of Klamath Falls visited last week end with Mr. and Mrs. Don Slinkard and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Conner spent the vacation visiting at Albany and then going to the coast to do some fishing. They also visited with relatives at Baker. Visiting relatives here during their vacation were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Spivey and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Spivey and family of Baker. Mrs. B. J. Benson, Sr., and son. Larry, of Umatilla visited friends here recently. They also visited Mrs. Benson's grandsons, Donny and Danny Benson, who are vis iting at the Louis Lorengcl home. Mr. and Mrs. Jlggs Bowman and family and Vincent Allen went to The Dalles last week end and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Clapper. Also there were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bowlln and family of Pasco, Wash, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cavett and family of Fremont, Calif., and Joe Bowman of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Luper and daughter Cheryl of San Luis Obispo, Calif., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wright, Sr., and with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Luper and family. Also visiting at the Wrights were Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Hicks of Garibaldi.
