Irrigon Lions Plan
July 4 Pony Races
Pony races will be part of the
Fourth of Julv celebration at
Irrigon. Deadline for entries Is
Julv 2, phone 922 3172.
The races will be held east
of the school grounds In Irrigon
at 1 p.m. Ponies must be 46
Inches or under. The age groups
for riders will be 6 and under.
and 8 years old, 9 and 10
year-olds. Prizes will be given
to the winners in each of the
three divisions.
The races are sponsored by
the Irrigon Lions club.

day evening following her ar
rival from San Clemente, Calif.,
for a week of visiting with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. War-

traveled to Hermiston for a com
bined business and
trip.

business we discussed If any of
us signed up for 4-H summer
school or for 4-H camp. In new
business we discussed about
giving demonstrations at fair
time. We also discussed the dif
ferent groups we would be in
at the fair and how we would
place. Mrs. Tullis gave a dem
onstration on how to put in a
zipper and it was a ainerent
method used. Refreshments were
served by Teena Stefani and
Cheryl Hams. Our next meeting
will be July 2 and it will be
on how to grease a sewing machine.

youths left last Tuesday for
Alaska, where they will spend
the summer.
Steve Pettyjohn, son of Mr.
