Mrs. Gribble Travels For Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Mrs. Lowi'll Gribble traveled to Sulem last week -end to Join with other family member In observing the !th wedding an niversary celebration of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hollls Mills. An open house was held at the Mills home In which friends end relatives came to call throughout the day to extend their greetines and best wishes to the honored couple. Later In the day relatives en. loved a family dinner party at which time the Mills couple was presented with a lovely three tiered wedding cake, baked and decorated by their niece. Accompanying Mrs. Cribble on the trip was Mrs. Eddie Gun derson and two boys, who stop ped off In Wllsonville to visit relatives. The attendants all wore floor length gowns of lilac satin trimmed with silver sequins. They carried cascading bouquets of roses. The cake was cut and served by Mrs. Joe Payne of Malino, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Don Sledge of Pendleton, another aunt of the bride, presided at the tea table. Others helping at the reception were Pam Lutz, Kay Payne, Marsha Syme, Dianna Gemoets, Gloria Hoffman, Nancy Fatland, and Kathy Britt. Following a short wedding trip to the coast, the young couple will make their home in Albany where David is employ ed. The new Mrs. Lovell is a graduate of Condon High school 1 and the groom is a graduate of Wheeler High school in Fossil and also had attended Eastern Oregon College at LaGrand. Stockard-Wood Engagement Told Mrs. Cecil (Anito.1 Warner of Eugene announces the engage ment and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Jean Stockard, to Walter Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wood of Heppner. Miss Stockard graduated from Heppner High school in 1965 and graduated this month from the University of Oregon, where she received a Bach elor of Arts Degree in Sociology. Wood graduated last month from Whitman College in Wal la Walla. Following a summer wedding, the couple plans to move to the southwest where they will do teaching and counseling on a Navajo Indian reservation. Leathers Descendants Hold Annual Reunion About 80 descendants of the Holly and Nick Leathers family gathered at the Hardman Com munity center last Sunday for their annual family reunion and potluck dinner. Friends and relatives attend ed from Vancouver, Portland, Condon, California, Grant coun ty and other surrounding coun ties as well as the local area to join in the day of visiting and reminiscing.
