Larry West, who has been home on leave the past six weeks from Vietnam, showed 240 slide pictures of Vietnam Sunday night at the Boardman Community church. Many of the slides were of Saigon and the surrounding area. Lt. West left Monday for Fort Lewis, Wash., where he will be for the next six months. Mrs. Ed Kuhn has received word of the death of her fath er Frank Wootan, 92, who died in Wilcox, Ariz., January 26. The Kuhn's went to Arizona to see her father in December. The Riverside Pirates will play the Umatilla Vikings here February 7, and will go to Echo for a game February 8. Navyman Gets Patrol Br DELPHA IONES LEXINGTON Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Burcham motored to Pen dleton on Sunday, taking their son. Mike, to meet the plane for his return to San Francisco. Burcham has been on a 20-day leave at the homo of his par ents from duty with the U. S. Navy. He will now be sent to his new duties on a patrol boat In Vietnamese waters, iouowhik two months training at a sur vival training school. He Is sta tioned on Whldbey Island. Funeral service were held on Tuesday. January 28, In Port land for Paul Nichols, who pass ed away In that city. Mr. Nich ols was raised In Lexington, and has visited with his wife, in recent years at the Trannic Parker home and at the home of his brother, Archie Nichols, In Lexington. Another brother, Cletus, of Portland also survives. He also has a wife in Portland. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davidson that their son. Herbert, who has been stationed in Fort Lewis, Wash., has received his orders to re port for duty in Vietnam. He is scheduled to leave Fort Lewis on February 25.
