WATER FACTS
Nature has given us huge reserves of ground water.
Here In America It Is estimated that 95 percent of all
fresh water available at a given time resides in porous beds
of rock and sand which we call "ground water." Each drop
of rain or snow that .soaks into the soil beyond the reach
cf plant roots trickles downward to the "water table," which
is the level In Ihe ground water reservoir. From there it
begins to travel slowly through the saturated earth until it
is trapped or reappears in a lower level.
ground water Issues
Springs are simply places where
from the earth in visible How.
In future discussion of ground water, the writer, Otto
Ellsworth, who has drilled for water over the U. S. A. and
many foreign countries, will give his views on many ques
tions he Is asked most every day regarding well drilling,
water well witching, water rights, higher income from irri
gated land, pumps and irrigation systems, and wells for
municipal water supplies.
Pioneering In rotary type drilling, Mr. Ellsworth wishes
to share with you his experience of over 35 years of well
drilling and exploration.
