His battalion is cur rently stationed in the Saigon area. McGill received his nine weeks basic training at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Petitions must be back at the citv hall bv November 15. Election will be held December 2. Greenfield Grange met at the hall October 19 starting with potluck supper at 6:30. Ron Daniels. Morrow county school superintendent, spoke on the l'4 tax limitation measure to be voted on at the coming elec tion in November. He said that should the measure pass the tax dollar loss in Morrow county would be in excess of $200,000. He explained in detail the Pro portion Reduction Method Sum mary and the State Apportioned Distribution Formula. He also stated that should the measure pass the money loss would have to be made up in other ways, among them a possible state sales tax, or higher income tax. The school program would have to be cut drastically. During the business meeting of the grange Mrs. Arthur Al len, Mrs. Hazel Miller and Mrs. Bernard Donovan were appoint ed as a committee to see about getting the kitchen wired for appliances acquired recently. Election of officers will be held at the meeting November 16. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hilling and children left last Thursday for Great Falls, Mont, called there by the death of Hilling's moth er, Annie Hilling, 88, who died suddenly that day. Recent visitors at the nome of Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips were Phillips' brother, Charles Phillips, of San Francisco, Calif., and his nephew, Dick Phillips of Medford.
