Lee Marvin, Jean Seberg and
Clint Eastwood, stars of Para
mount Pictures' "Paint Your
Waeon," now In production near
Baker, will literally drop In at

riving via helicopter In the cen
ter of the field.
Downtown parade of the event
will be held Saturday afternoon,
starting at 3 P.m.. and itre-came
puceant will be at 7 p.m. Game
time la 8 p.m. in Kouna-up sta
dium. General chairman of the
Shrine contest Is Harry A. My
cin of Condon, and the Shrine
cluba of Eastern Oregon are
Mxmsors. All proceeds go to the
Shrlners Hospital for Crippled
Children at Portland, and con
tributions to date from the six
teen games total $160,000.

again" are the mottos that serve
ts Incentive for sponsoring the
annual big game.

ter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Grant of MiltonFreewater. Deb
r.t was first admitted to the
Portland Shrine Hospital in
May, 1967, for treatment of cur
vature of the spine.
This year, Webber C. Harring
ton, potentate of Al Kader Shrine
Temple, and a large group of
Shriners of Portland will come
to Pendleton to participate in
one of the largest Shrine cere
monials ever to be staged in
Eastern Oregon.
Thirty-five bands and march
ing units will be Included in
the Saturday afternoon parade.

year Is pretty Debra Ann Grant 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence M. Grant of Milton Freewater. She attends Freewater
Grade school, is a member of the Blue Birds, and has two older
brothers. She will reign over the A-Z and B East-west All
Star game In Pendleton Saturday.

Heppner last Thursday after
noon. Plans were completed for
the booth at the Morrow County
Mrs. Pat Townsend, Pomona
WAC chairman, was introduced.
She presented the group with a
bank In which money will be
put to raise funds to help the
Oregon State Grange debt re
tirement. This has been turned
over to WAC groups throughout
the state to help raise money
for thia fund.

Ernest Drakes Visit
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Drake
were In Heppner and lone for
several days through Monday ot
this week. They were guests at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nel
son Connor. Drake has been
working on his master's degree
through a National Science
Foundation scholarship at Vir
ginia State College and plans
to continue next summer on the
four-year scholarship. He teach

eniatics at Armilo High school
Fairfield, Calif. Mrs. Drake is
the former Darlene Connor, dau
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Connor, and Drake is son of Mr.
and Mrs. Cleo Drake, lone. The
couple was enroute home from
the east when they stopped for
the visits here.
