Rem pel. president. The action was taken bv the Commission on Higher Schools at their summer meeting, and was reported to thfl Eastern Oregon College presi dent by the executive director, James F. Bemls. The Northwest Association w one of two accrediting commis sions who periodically review collegiate programs to assess how well educational standards are maintained. The National Commission on Accreditation of Teacher Education will make a report on their review at a meet ing In Denver in late Jaly. Dr. Carlos E. Easley directed both study reports for the in stitution during the year preced ing the April visit of the two teams of higher education ex perts.
