JOHN (ZETTA) BROSNAN Well Known Resident Greeted on Birthday At Home Reception Mrs. John (Zotta) Brosnan was surprised and honored Sunday, Julv 7. with a birthday celebra lion and oiyn house in oliser- vanee of hi XOth birthday, held at the home of her granddaugh ter, Mrs. Dick Robison and fain iiy- Mrs. Brosnan was presented a lovelv orchid corsage and a tronev tree as cifls from her family. About 30 guests came to call during the afternoon to extend birthday wishes to the nonoree and to visit. Out of town guests present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Berlee Salee of Portland and Mrs. W. E. Hughes of Ukiah. Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Benson of Kinzua. Miss Conner and Mr. Benson are both graduates of Wheeler County High school. The wedding is planned for December at the Kinzua Com munity church. MISS PATRICIA HOWELL Couple to Exchange Vows Here August 3 Mr. and Mrs. Thomas .W. Howell are announcing the en gagement and coming marriage of their dauchter, Fatncia Ann, to Dale L. Adlard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theron Adlard, all of Iieppr.er. Their wedding will be an event of Saturday, August 3, at 8:00 p.m. in the First Christian church, Heppner. Reception will h'i held at the home of the bride's parents, 620 West Sperry St., following the ceremony. The families take this means of extending an invitation to all friends and relatives in the area to attend. Ronald Creswick Weds Portland Girl Ronald Lee Creswick, son ; of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Creswick, now of Portland and formerly of Heppner, was married Sun day afternoon in the Queen of Teace Catholic church, Portland to Miss Lora Kathleen McVick er, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene McVicker, of Portland. Among those attending the ceremony were County Judge and Mrs. Paul Jones of Hepp ner and Mr. and Mrs. Les Grant of Arlington. The groom is a graduate of Oregon State University in en gineering and has a position with the Bureau of Land Man agement at Riddle. He is also a second lieutenant in tne Air Force Reserve. The newlyweds expect to live at Riddle unless he is called to active duty with the Air Force. Lovgren Reunion Brings Many Here Sixty-seven member of the Lovkwii family eathered for a July 4 holiday picnic and fam ily reunion, held in the moun tain above Scritameier Mill. Those from out of the area who attended the annual event wore Mm. Irene Nevis, Santa Rose, Calif., and her granddau- liter, Jana Morton. Delano, altf., who stayed with the Ar chie Alderman family. They re turned to han i-rancisco by plane, leaving here Saturday. Mrs. Gene Lovcren and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lovgren, all of Hillsboro, attended the reun ion and visited at the Victor Lovgren and Robert Peterson homes. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lov gren, Portland, stayed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert lovcren. Other family members from out of town who arrived for the day of visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Ilarshman and Bruce of Dayton, Wn., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Christopherson and Jim Christopherson and Terry, all of Sherwood, Ore.
