tend. Entertainment will feature
the lone ktchen band and a
western theme will be used
throughout the meeting.

Mrs. Gene Rietmann was sur
prised with a baby shower on
Wednesday evening, April 24,
held at the home of Mrs. Bill
Rietmann. Two tables of bridge
and one table of pinochle were
in plav with prizes won given
to the honoree. Mrs. Ray Boyce
served refreshments, following
cards, to the following guests:

Arlington Rodeo court serving
with Queen Donna Mikkalo this
week-end, May 4 and 5. Prin
cess Janet will ride her quar
terhorse, "Flicka," as she rep
resents the lone 4-H Horse club.
Princess Jodi represents the Gil
liam county 4-H Horseflies and
will ride her quarte r h o r s e,
"Fawn."
Mr. and Mrs. Chad Shaw of
Junction City were week-end
guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Crabtree.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Peterson
and family were recent visitors
in Portland at the home of Mrs.
Peterson's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. V. Hanson.

Bob Jepsen has been chosen
to represent the Oregon Wheat
Growers League as a member
of the Board of Directors of the
Wheat and Wheat Foods foun
dation. Jepsen is in Chicago this
week attending meetings of the
Foundation. He also will visit
with his brother-in-law and sis
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wood
in cnicago.
Mrs. Amanda Warfield Is cur
rently receiving treatment at the
Pendleton Community hospital.
Susan Baker arrived home by
airplane on April 14 from
Kaneahe, Oahu, for a visit with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David
Baker. Susan, who has been
working as a secretary there for
the past year, plans to enter
the University of Hawaii In the
fall. Traveling with Miss Baker
was Lcianna Hapu who greatly
enjoyed her first visit to the
mainland.
Mrs. Alice A. Stockard, moth
er of James Stockard of Butter
Creek and Mrs. Patricia Klncaid,
died Sunday evening at St. An
thony hospital in Pendleton,
following a long illness. She is
survived by her husband, Vic; j

Mrs. Rar Drake and her son
and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Drake of Kenne
wick, Wash., recently returned
from Stockton. Calif., where they
visited Donald Drake and turn-
ilv. A niece. Mrs. Chuck Ingram,
and family of New Almaden Air
Force Base drove to Stockton to
visit them. Mrs. Drake and sons
drove to Oakland to visit two
aunts, one 94 and one 06 years
of age. On the way home the
trio were overnight visitors In
Corvaliui with Raymond Drake
and family.
