Three Links Club met at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Marshall on Thursday of last week with Mrs. Kenneth Palmer as co hostess. The main business for the afternoon was the election of officers, with Mrs. Donna Pap ineau named chairman. Mrs. Dorothy Burcham, vice-chairman; Mrs. Archie Munkers, sec retary, and Mrs. Al Fetsch, treasurer. Plans were discussed for the next card party on March 3, the last of the series of the year. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Palmer have received notice that their son, Mike, who has been sta tioned in Fort Lewis, Wash., with the US Army, has left for Germany for duty. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. van- Winkle have received word that their son, Donald, has arrived in Vietnam. Donald left in Jan uary for duty there, and his wife, Mrs. Nancy VanWinkle Is employed in the Community hospital in Pendleton. Jill Padberg, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Padberg, was one of the princess candidates who were selected by DeMolay Chapter of Hermiston for this years sweetneart Ban. iney were entertained at a luncheon and the ball in the Hermiston Civic Center on Saturday. Mrs. Elden Padberg was a busy hostess last week, as she entertained three club groups two of which were substituting for other hostesses who had ill ness in the family. The lone Bridge Club met last Tuesday for a noon luncheon and after noon of cards. Attending were Mrs. Bob Jepsen, Mrs. Ray Bovce. Mrs. Rudy Bergstrom, Mrs. Gene Hall, Mrs. Herb Eks- trom. Jr.. Mrs. Walter Jacobs, Mrs. Mervin Leonard and the hostess. High score was held by Mrs. Hall; second hign Dy Mrs. Jepsen, and low by Mrs. Boyce. Present were Mrs. Roy Martin, Mrs. Bob Davidson, Mrs. Roger Campbell, Mrs. Gene Cole Mrs. Orville Cutsforth, Mrs. George Hermann, Mrs. Mel Boy er and the hostess.
