One Little Ad Sells
Household Furniture
One little classified ad In
The Gazette-Times last week
sold a whole house full of
furnishings for Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Follensbee. They recently
bought the home of Mrs. R.
B. Rice, and since It came fur
nished, they had twice their
needs In household goods.
They listed the goods In the
classified ad, and they were
surprised with the results.
Follensbee called early Tues
day morning to be sure the
ad wasn't run again. Every
thing was sold. The sale
wasn't to one buyer, but to a
number of different buyers
who responded.
"It really brought results,"
Follensbee said.
Another satisfied customer
who came to the office Tues
day was Dean Long of Herm
Iston Cycle Shop. He inserted
a two-inch display ad to run
until further notice.
Last time he ran an ad in
the Gazette-Times, he said,
he had an Immediate response
from the people of Heppner.
There Is no bicycle repair shop
here.
"It really brought us busi
ness," Long said.
