gressman Robert Duncan, now
a Portland attorney, spoke to
the graduating class of River
side High school at the exercises
held in the school gymnasium
last Thursday evening. The in
vocation was by the Rev. George
Neeley, pastor of the Boardman
Community church, and the
benediction bv the Rev. Herbert
Vaughn, pastor of the Irrigon
Community Baptist church.
Salutatorians were Shirley
Ann Dixon and Carol Ann Har
per. Michael Paul Partlow gave
the valedictorian address, Mrs.
Wayne Kuhn sang, "Climb A
High Mountain."
Ron Daniels, school principal,
introduced the speaker, and al
so presented the class to Max
well Jones, member of the Mor
row county school board, who
gave out the diplomas.
The processional and reces
sional were by Mrs. Albert Part
low, organist, and Mrs. LaVern
Partlow. pianist.
Daniels presented the saluta
torian and the valedictorian
their trophies, and announced

Kappa Gamma sorority held its
May meeting here at the Nomad

senior class of Riverside High
school May 2$ at the bac
calaureate sen-ices held in the
school gymnasium. The invoca
ion was by the Rev. Herbert
Vaughn, pastor of the Irrigon
Community Baptist church, and
the benediction by Rev. John
Kenny, pastor of the Irrigon As
sembly of God church.
Robert Chilman sang "God Is
My Shepherd", accompanied by
Mrs. Chilman, and the Riverside
High chorus sang "The Lord's
Prayer", directed by Chilman.
Rev. Neeley presented each
senior with a Bible, which is
a gift from the two Irrigon
churches and the Boardman
church.

Mrs. Roy Partlow, Mrs. Black

appointed as a committee to
work on the scholarship that
the club is donating the mon
ey taken In at the recent Style
Show.
Discussion was held on a pos
sible tour of the Boeing testing
site.
The next meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Carroll Dono
van June 13. There will be on

ing the summer.

Dwight Morgan and son-in-law,

burg, visited the first of last
week at the homes of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Ball, Sr., and Mr. and
Mrs. Zearl Gillespie. Morgan
and Mrs. Ball started to grade
school together In 1906 at the
Goosebeny district school in the
south end of the county.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Sutton and
daughters Ella and Sally went
to Riverton, Wyo., last week to
visit at the home of their son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Croft. They return
ed by way of Spokane, Wash.,
to pick up their daughter, Mrs.
Virgil Morrison and children
Kenny and Raedell, who return
ed here with them to visit sev
eral days. Sutton took them
home the last of the week.
Mrs. Terry Moore of Portland
was a week-end visitor at the
home of her brother-in-law and

were called to Ontario last week
for the funeral of Chilman's
grandmother, Mrs. Laura Con
naughty, 63, who died May 20.
