At Heppner llluh and at Riverside lllKh, Boardman, the services will be at 0 p.m. At lone I Huh school, the service will be at 3:00 p.m. All services will be in the re spective school gymnasiums. The Rev. Donald Pederson, pastor of Hope and Valhy Luth eran churchi-s will speak to Hep pner High senior and the aud ience; Father Raymond Beard, pastor of St. William's Cathollo church, will speak at the lone baccalaureate; and the Rev. George Necly, pastor of the Com munity Church, Boardman, will preach the sermon at the River side baccalaureate. Father Beard, also pastor at St. Patrick's church. Heppner, will deliver the Invocation and pronounce the benediction at the Ileppner service. John Maatta will be vocal soloist, and the congregation will sing, "I Be lieve." Mm. Ola Mae Groshens will play the processional and the recessional. The Rev. Walter B. Crowell, pastor of the lone United Church of Christ, will filve the Invocat ion and pronounce the benedic tion at the lone service, and he will give the scripture reading. AF 4 AM. Friday evening, May 12. at the Hepp ner Masonic Tempic. Harris is the oldest son of Mr. and M.8. Durrel Harris of the Rhea Creek area. Selection of Harris was bas ed on need and overall good citizenship in school and in tne community. He has taken an active leadership In Future Farmers of America during his high school years, and nas Deen active in athletics and other school activities. Forty-four are on the class roster at Heppner High school where commencement will be in the gym nasium on Wednesday, May 31, at 8 p.m. Sixteen seniors are to graduate at Riverside High school, Boardmanj on Thursday night, June 1, at 8 p.m. in the gymnasium. Twelve in the class of 1967 at lone High schoool will receive diplomas there in exercises on Friday night, June 2, at 8 pjn. in the gymnasium. 1 1 DR. Ione's senior class colors are red and white, and the class flower is the white rose. The class motto is "To Reach with Difficulties." Colors of Riverside's class of 1967 are sapphire blue and sil ver, and the class flower is sil ver rose. The motto Is 'Tomor row We Sail; Where Will We Anchor?" Honor students at Heppner High include Miss Maralee Mur ray, valedictorian, and Miss Martha Peck, salutatorian. At Riverside, Michael Paul Partlow is valedictorian and Miss Shir ley Ann Dixon and Miss Carol Anne Harper share honors as co salutatorians. Dr. Francis Nickerson, assoc iate dean of students at the Uni versity of Oregon and an alum nus of Heppner High, will be the speaker at Heppner High com mencement. He grew up in Heppner and graduated from high school beiore going to tne University of Oregon. He has been with the State System or. Higher Education for a number of years and was chosen assoc iate dean ot students a year or two ago. Former Congressman Robert Duncan will be the speaker at Riverside High commencement Formerly of Medford, Duncan is now living in Portland. He serv ed the fourth congressional dis trict oi Oreeon in Congress irom 1963 until running lor U. S. Senator last vear.. Waldo Bowers of CorvaUls, speaker at lone High commence ment, is assistant director of ad missions at Oregon btate uni versitv and an assistant profes sor there. He obtained his mas ter of education degree from OSU in 1959.
