Both attendants wore matching floor length gowns of ice blue satin, wnn maicning headpieces and shoulder length veils. They carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums with llRht blue streamers. Traditional weddlnR select ions were played by Mrs. Her mnn Stroeber, ore.anl.st, who al so accompanied Mrs. Dale Hol land as she dedicated two vo nil numbers to the honor coup le. Servlnn as best man was Stuart Dick, lone time friend of the groom Hend usher was Doug Ander son, brother of the groom. Oth er ushers were Kit Anderson, brother of the groom, Bill Sny der, Heppner, and Steve Car nine, Condon. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Bloodsworth chose to wear a wool sheath afternoon dress of teol blue with black access ories, and a white carnation corsaue. The newlyweds greeted their many friends and relatives at a reception Immediately follow ing In the parish hall. The bride's chosen wedding colors of Ice blue nnd white were effect ively carried out on the bride's table and about the rooms. Centering the large refresh ment table was a three-tiered wedding coke, topped with mln taturc bells and rosebuds, with dainty pink rosebuds and tiny hells decorating the layers of the cake. At each side of the cake were tall white tapers, with arrangements of white chrysanthemums and white stock. After the couple shared the first piece, the cake was served by Mrs. Gary Linton, sister of Hie groom, and Mrs. William J. Doherty. Touring were Mrs. Roger Campbell and Mrs. Buster Pad berg, both aunts of the bride, Mrs. William Owen and Mrs. Calvin Ynckley, both aunts of the groom, and Mrs. Charles Bloodsworth, grandmother of the bride, Presiding at the guest book was Miss Tarn McCabe, and at the gift table were Misses Don na Potter and Marsha Sowell. Church Women Hear Of Work In Orient By Wheat Associates Mrs, Douglas Drake present ed a documentary on work be ing done in the Orient by Western Wheat Associates at a meeting of the Women's Soci ety cjf Christian Service of the Hi Ppner Methodist church Wed nesday, February 1, in the church. Through colored slides and tape recorded comme n t a r y, members leorned that Western Wheat Associates work not on ly to broaden the market for western wheat, but nlo to Im prove the diet of people In In dla. the Philippines, Japan and Pakistan through cooperating with Church World Service and government school lunch pro grams as well as Independent promotional work. Mrs. Bob Henry, president, presided at the meeting and Mrs. Jack Krleger was In charge of devotions. Members brought enough home-baked cookies to send Valentine boxes to 25 students nnd service men away from home. Special pre-Easter meetings (luring the week of February 21 were announced. To enable ev eryone to participate in the siccial meetings, the program Tor the March WSCS meeting has been moved ahead to Feb ruary 22 at 8 p.m. In the church. Hostesses for last Wednes day's meeting were Mrs. Efflc Johnson and Mrs. Lincoln Nash. A group of hostesses, Mrs. Jerry Dagyctt. Mrs. Boy Martin, Mrs. Ernest McCabe, Mrs. Crcs ton Itoblnson and Mrs. Nona Sowell, were In charge of the reception arrangements. Of particular Joy to the young couple was a special cablegram received Saturday evening from Mr. nnd Mrs. An derson, parents of the groom, expressing their special bless ings and congratulations. For traveling, the new Mrs. Anderson changed to a nuvy ami white coat and dress en semble, with navy and white accessories, and the white rose bud corsage. They left for a khort wedding trip to Califor nia. Upon their return, they will reside In the trailer home on the William J. Doherty ranch. Both will continue In Kcbool. The bride will graduate In Mav from Heppner High school. Following his return from Eur ope last year, the groom at- i tended Oregon State University and Is presently enrolled at Blue Mountain College in Pen dleton. Both will attend BMCC next year, then transfer to Ore gon State University, where David is an agriculture major. Among relatives coming from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. William Owen and Beth Anne of Seattle, Wn.. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Anderson and Christy of jionn Benu, Mr. and Mrs. cat vin Yackley of Kenton, Wn., Mr. and Mrs. Gary Linton and Lorie and Kit Anderson, of Mil- waukle, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Walker of Pendleton, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bloodsworth of Herm Iston. Also, Mrs. Les Marks of Fos sil, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wright of Pendleton, Doug An derson and Carl Bauman, both of U of O. Eugene. Stuart Dick and Jean Healy, both of EOC in La Ltrande, Steve Carnine, Condon, and others from Echo, lone, and other nearby towns. The ceremony will be in the Faith Lutheran church of Los Gatos, Calif. Green is a graduate of Hepp ner High school with the class of 1961. He has been serving In the Air Force for three years and is stationed at Beale Air Force Base. Mrs. Richardson plans to at tend the wedding and will go by airplane frcm Pendleton Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Can and boys have been hosts to her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Newman of Eugene for a week's visit. The New. mans returned home January 30. Bill Peters of St Paul visited last week from Saturday until Monday with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carpenter and family.
