Pettyjohn if lone, became the bride of George Wayne Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine C. Miller of Mora, In a pretty double ring ceremony on Saturday, November 2fi. at the Condon United Church of Christ. Officiating at the 3 p.m. cere mony wan the Kev. Harold Mac Arthur, a close friend of the family and pastor of the Bible Baptist church of Astoria. The I. ride was escorted to the .iltar by her father. Her wed ding gown was of white pcau de sole, fashioned with woop neckline and softly belled sleeve. Lace applique trimmed the bodice and sleeves, and ex tended down the front skirt panel The full flowing skirt ex tended In back Into a chapel train Her finger tip Illusion veil was held In place by a cluster of while petals, edged In tiny seed pearl. Her bridal lHiuiuet was of white chrysanthemums and Ivy, centered with a large white on-hid. which was pin ned later to her going away ensemble. Attending ht sister as maid of honor was Miss Pattl Petty John. Bridesmaid were Miss Denlse Miller, sister of the groom, and Miss Marianne Pel tvjohn, sister of the bride. They appeared In floor length gowns of gold sheer, styled with em pire waistlines bell alcoves and two ruffled tiers at the bottom of the skirt. Their headpieces were large gold bows, and the attendants carried white and gold chrysanthemum bouquets, with cascades of long, gold streamers. Serving as best man was Paul Sather, cousin of the groom, of Kent, Ore. Ushers were Boh Olsen, bro ther Inlaw of the groom; Du- ane Miller, brother of the groom, both of Moro, and Mike Woodsldo of Maupln. Traditional wedding musk was played by Mrs. Ernest Bar nctt, organist, Condon, who also accompanied Forest Jones and his daughter, Kathy, when they sang the selection, 'The Lord's ITayer." Miss Jones also sang a vocal solo number. Lighting the tapers before the ceremony were Hon Suther, cousin of the groom, Corvallls, and Robert Kmert, cousin of the bride, lone. Flower girl In the wedding procession was Darla Miller, sister of the groom, and Lee Slmonls, Bend, served as ring bearer. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Pettyjohn chose to wear a blue and green brocade dress, complimented by blue accessor ies, and a corsage of white chrysanthemums. Mrs. Miller, mother of the groom, attended In a pink bro cade aftern o o n dress with matching accessories, and a white chrysanthemum corsage. The newly weds greeted their many friends and relatives at tending at a wedding reception In the church social rooms. A tiered all white wedding cake, topped with decorative wedding bells, and flanked by tall white tapers, centered the reception table. After the coup le had shared the first piece, the cake was cut and served by Mrs. Ted Kdleman, cousin of 'the groom, Stanfleld, and Mrs. Hob Olsen, sister of the groom, Moro. Pouring tea and coffee were Mrs. David Chllds, and Mrs. William Marshall, both of Ar lington. Punch was served by Mrs. Kelly Andrew of La Grande. . Miss Linda Klrsch of La Grande attended the gift table, and Miss Laurie Stewart of The Dalles passed the guest book. Jeffrey Hamms and Anita Pal- accessories, and the white or chid from her bridal bouquet. After her graduation from Condon High school In l'J64, she attended the University of Ore gon for two years, where she was affiliated with Delta Zcta sorority. Mr. Miller was graduated from Sherman County High school In VM',2, continuing his studies at Portland State Col lege and Northwestern School of commerce, Portland. The couple resides on a ranch near lone.
