The Assembly of God church

their Sunday morning service,

Crook. They presented a spe
cial musical program.
The 4-11 community meeting
was held at the A. C. Hough
ton school last Thursday. There
wa a discussion on the 4 11
achievement party which 1 to
be held later. A project talk
was given by I.eon Wilson.

Permits are now being issued
between the hours of 8 a.m. and
5 p.m., Monday through Satur
day, at the district office in the
Gilliam and Blsbee building.
Maps are available at the of
fice showing the designated
cutting area which is west of
the entrance to Bull Prairie on
Highway 207.
A charge of $1 will be made
for Individual use of Christmas
trees removed from the Uma
tilla National Forest. Special
arrangements may be made by
schools, churches, or organiza
tions by contacting the forest
service offices.

noon conference will be held
with state officers, and floor
work Instruction.

held recently at the home of
Mrs. Margie Shade. The group

cies for this year's kindergart
en class which Is to be held at
the A. C. Houghton school.

treads provide better traction on
slippery pavements. For severe
snow and ice conditions, how

of reinforced tire chains, espec
ially for climbing slippery hills
and getting through deep snow.

driving, according to the Traf

hicles, is to "get the feel" of the
road so that you know for sure
how slippery It really is. You
can do this while driving slow
ly by trying your brakes or
"gunning"' the motor a little
when no other traffic is near.
