Following the meeting the lecturer's program was given by the HEC with Mrs. Ola Ku; tfles acting as installing offi cer. Newly elected HfcX offi cers for UH37 are Mrs. C.C. Jonos, chairman; Mrs. Frnest Chris tophorson. vice chairman; Mrs. Wilbur Stoagall, secretary, and Mrs. Kenneth Smouso, treasur er. All ladies were presented lovely corsages. A poem on the origin o( the chrysanthemum was heard, ut ter which Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Nelson were honored lor their il?.th wedding anniversary. While Mrs. Nelson opened a gift from the Grange, Mrs. Kenneth Smouso, accompanied by Mrs. Paul Tews, played selections appropriate to the occasion. Following the mooting, cake and coffee wore served, the cake was a lovely creation made and decorated by Mrs. Kd Hunt, and held white and yellow bells with yellow writing. Next meeting will be the an nual turkey dinner, planned for December 10. Entertain State President Holy Rebekah Lodge met last Wednesday" for a special meet ing with the state Rebekah President. Mrs. Mae Kafer pros ent. This was a meeting held jointly with the Bunchgrass la dies of lone. The meeting was thoroughly enjoyed after which the president gave a most in struct ive and interesting talk on Oddfellowship. Refreshments of sandwiches, coffee and sal ads were served later in the dining room. The main hall was decorated with fall flowers, and her flower, the gladiola, was featured, along with the open Bible. Debbie Yocom, small daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yocom, was a patient In Pioneer Mem orial hospital over Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. V. I. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Miller of l.a Grande visited their son. Karl Miller, one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Majeske; were recent visitors at the1: home of their son-in-law and ! daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wright, and family in Gresh-: am. j Ms. Floyd (Joani Smith ha I returned to her homo from a stay at St. Anthony hospital In rendloton where she underwent major surgery. j Mrs. Florence McMillan re- turned home last week after a two day stay In Pendleton at the home of her daughter, Mrs. ' Bob Cool, where she cared for the children while their moth er was a patient in St. Anth ony hospital in Pendleton. ! Bob Steagall has returned home after undergoing major surgery at St. Anthony hospital in Pendleton. ! Visitors recently at the Bill B. Marquardt and the Carl Mar- quardt homes were their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. K. Mes senger. Sr., of The Dalles. Mrs. George Hermann Is a pa tient in Community hospital In Pendleton where she underwent surgery on Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs, Vernon Viall spent the week-end in Portland where they visited friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Irvin and children and Dewie Irvin of Hood River spent the week end with Lexington relatives. Lexington and Heppner Chris tian Churches are starting evan gelistic services on Sunday.
