W. M., Heppner Rang er District, Umatilla National Forest, State of Oregon, will be impounded by the United States Forest Service on or after No vember 18, 1966, if the same be not previously removed per manently from said lands. Any unbranded cattle, or any cattle bearing brands of cattle previously found in trespass which are found in continuing or subsequent trespass within twelve months after publication of this notice will be impound ed without further notice. After the impoundment, own ers of trespassing cattle may regain possession thereof only by first reimbursing the United States in full for the expense incurred in advertising, gather ing, impounding, feeding or pasturing such cattle and for the forage consumed during the trespass period. All Impounded animals not redeemed within 5 days after Impoundment will be offered for sale at public auc tion. Animals not sold at the public sale will be sold at pri vate sale or condemned and destroyed, as required by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture. Volunteer workers were Mrs. Nora Paxson, Mrs. Mildred Everett, Mrs. Itol Rucker and Mrs. Sedalla Dex ter, all from Irrlgon. Members present were Mrs. Maggie Barber, Mrs. Freda Bash and Mrs. Dora Howe from Stan field; Mrs. Estella Acton, Mrs. Julia Penney, Mrs. Doris Wil son, Mrs. Viva Llndley, Mrs. Ag nes Hodges, Mrs. Stella Noble from Hermlston; Mrs. Mary Stephens and Mrs. Sylvia Mor gan from Irrlgon. Vernon and Tom Stew art left Friday for a few days of elk hunting at La Grande. On their way they picked up Terry McCoy who Is a student at Eastern uregon Allege. Burcham of Lex ington, is undergoing nine weeks of basic training at the Naval Training Center at San Diego, Calif, according to a news release from the Fleet Home Town News Center. He Is receiving Instructions In Naval customs, courtesies and organization, ordnance and gun nery, seamanship, damage con trol, first aid, swimming and survival, shipboard drills and sentry duty.
