Center of attention was the lovely three tiered wed dint; cake, which was decora t ed in ureen and white with a ribboned stairway leadlni; to the top tier on which rested miniature bridal f lnerlne. Af ter the younn couple cut the traditional first piece, the cake was served by nn aunt of the Kroom, Mrs. Myrtle Fields. Mrs. Charlotte Ilnssctt, mother of the bride from Portland, and Mrs. Vela Kubanks, grandmother of the bride, poured. Carol Powell was In charge nf the uuest book, and presid ing nt the gift table were Sher ry Fields nnd Cathy Allman. For her going nway costume the bride chose an Ice pink fronted nylon suit with a white lace blouse and white satin shoes. The bride attended lone (Irade school and two years of lone lllc,h school and was a member of lone Assembly No. K'.l, Rain bow for (Jlrl.s. Since she was n very small child, she has made her home with her aunt and uncle, Mr. nnd Mrs. C. K. Bren ner, who moved to Madras from lone last yeur. The bride Is now finishing her senior year at Madras High. The groom Is a graduate of Madras High school and Is presently employed at the mill there, but plans to enter the I'nlled Stutes Air Force In No vember, They are making their home at BtiO Commerce St., Madras. The three host assemblies joined to present addendas for the honored guests following the joint assembly session, and to serve refreshments nt the close of the evening. Petty Mm of lone, are announcing the coming marriage of their daughter, Nancy Lee, to George Wayne Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hlalne Miller of Moro, on Saturday, November 2G. The couple extends a cordial Invitation to friends and relatives to attend the ceremony and wedding re irptlon which will follow. Following her graduation from Condon High school In 1964. Miss Pettyjohn attended the University of Oregon for two years, where she was affiliated with Delia .eta soruity. Her fiance, a 12 graduate of Sherman County High school, attended Portland State College and Northwestern School of Commerce, Portland, and Is presently employed at the Charles Carlson ranch near lone. Sorority Entertains At Hawaiian Luau Going out Hawaiian style was a treat for members of eta Omega of lone and their guests when they held a Hawaiian luau at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hoy Llndstrom recently. Mrs. Art Llndstrom and her so cial committee, aided by Mrs. Hoy Llndstrom and Mrs. El wnyne Bcrgstrom, were hostess es. Guests came dressed In Ha waiian costume and were given lels nnd flowers for the ladles' hair. Each received a name tag with a translation for his name into the Hawaiian language. Rooms were decorated with palm trees and pictures, and guests sat at low tables on pillows. Music was played throughout the evening. Hawaiian rum and a variety of Hawaiian foods were served for dinner, and guests played the bamboo game and danced the Umbo during the evening. . The dance was held In the high sch'Kil cafetorlum fol lowing the Heppner-Wahtonka football game. An Intermission program con sisted of the presentation of Queen Pam McCabe and her court by Jim Doherty, president of the H Club, and members of the club. The Queen's Dance followed the Intermission. Oth ers on the court were Princess Kay Daggett, Nancy Doherty, Verina French and Sheila Lucl anl. The week end festivities at tracted a number of alumni. Among those uttendlng various events over the week-end were Dule Van Blokland, Krlc Ander son. Coffee and punch were served at the ends of the table by relatives and friends. The girls greeted the guests at the door dressed In pink out fits with white carnation cor sages. The Matthews' niece, Bonnie Akers, was in charge of the guest book.
