Thursday, August 18. 196 Details Announced On Dress-Up Parade Prc-Round-Up Event Don Vllleneuve nnd Carl Wil liamson, co-chairmen of the Kound-Up dress-tip parade In downtown Pendleton, 7 p.m. September 10, announced today that entries not submitted by September 1. will not be enter ed on the parade Judging sheets. RntrlcH will he accepted, but persons who wish to have their names on the Judging sheets must submit them to P. O. Box 987, Pendleton, bv the Septem ber 1 deadline. Persons late In entering the parade docket will be placed at the end of the parade line of march. The Main Street Cowboys are In charge of the parade. The annual dress-up parade Is the kick-off event of the Pen dleton Hound-Up held each fall In the second week of Septem ber. The show opens September 14 for u four-day run, conclud ing with the Kound-Up finals Saturday afternoon, September 17, and the final performance of the Happy Canyon night pageant. Grand marshal of the dress up parade this year are Pendle ton's first citizens of the year, Mrs. Gene Conktln and Ford Robertson. They will lend the annual parade In a surrey fol lowed by the Round-Up Queen Paulette Rice and her court. Decorated floats, bands, riding clubs and other entries will fol low the queen with royalty from surrounding communities also included In the line of march. Mrs. L. E. Dick returned to her home belt? Friday, after com pleting a six-weeks summer In stitute for Advanced Study In Reading course at Oregon State University In Corvallls. On Sun day, Mr. and Mrs. Dick left for a 10-day camping vacation trip. Stuart. K.rln and Kevin remained at the family home. Sometime during the vacation the Dicks plan to visit relatives in Helena, and to stop at U'vvlston, Mon tana, Ed's birthplace.
