found to be In excellent condit
ion and with good, hot weather
prevailing, some fine golf was
displayed by many of the de
votees of the sport. A noon buf
fet luncheon was served by the
ladles of the Willow Creek club
and the usual hospitality was
shown by the hosts throughout
the day.
When the final accounting
had been completed and all
scores checked, honors were
picked up by several Kinzua
swingers: Low gross, Harlan
Schroeder and Milt Boring tied;
low net, Harlan Schroeder: long
drive, Verlln Conner ana Don

Wayland Hyatt.
For the Kinzua ladles, low
gross was won by Lavlna Con
ner and low net by Arlene
Schroedei.
Eight members of the Kinzua
Golf Club will wend their way
to La Grande this coming week
end to participate In the annual
La Grande Elks tournament.
This affair has proven to be one
of the finest in the state with
more than 100 Elks members
from Oregon, Washington and
Idaho taking part.
