club. The club met at the home

Father Critical
In Hospital Here
Stanley Dixon, father of the
Rev. Melvin Dixon, was reported
to be in critical conditon and
sinking in the Pioneer Memorial
hospital Wednesday night. He
has been bedridden in the nurs
ing home at the hospital for the
past 24 years, having suffered
a paralytic stroke prior to his
confinement. Mr. Dixon is 78
years of age.

several days visit here with rel
atives were Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Case of Poulsbo, Wn. They en

visiting in the home of her
mother, Mrs. Jessie Griffin, and
also in the Forrest and Archie

trip Mrs. Sherman also renewed
a lifelong friendship with Mrs.

lege together at Linfield in Mc
Minnville and were sorority sis
ters there. Joining the Shermans

lifelong family friend, George
Barkley of Tracy, Calif- who
