Richard Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Clark, is taking basic training with the Army Security Agency at Fort Ord, Calif, according to Information from his parents. He entered service September 29 and after the basic training he expects to go to Ft. Devon, Mass., to enter communications school. Pvt. Clark will be home on Christmas leave starting sometime between the first and mid-December. He graduated from Heppner High school in the class of 1964 and worked in the First National Bank. Pendleton, before entering service. The Army Security Agency training is in coding and decoding messages. Four Heppner Men Inducted into Army Four voung men from Hepp ner were inducted into the Ar my, leaving the area Tuesday, November 9, the Condon Globe- Times reports. They left for Fort Ord, Calif., the following day. In the group were David Ad lard, Alvin Ayers, Lawrence Pat rick Monagle, and Roger Schoo nover, Gary Struthers of Hepp ner enlisted in the Coast Guard at approximately the same time, the Selective Service office re ported.
