from Pendleton where she had
been a patient In St Anthony
hospital for the past six weeks
following a pickup accident

left Saturday for a weeks va
ration In I'anada and Seattle.
They took Carol Ann and Alice
Asher of Fossil to Portland
where they were picked up by
their grandmother and taken
on to Astoria. The Hyatt pick
ed up thelf daughter Theresa
who had been spending some
time in Portland visiting her
grandparents.
The Doubledeck card club was
entertained In Fossil Wednes
day evening with Marge Asher
as hostess to the group. High
was won bv Bonnie Campbell,
low by Ada Schell, and floating
by Bonnie Campbell and Marj
Boring. Others enjoying this
evming were Irene Samples.

here was the arrival of a baby
daughter on August 1 to Mr.

Prineville. The little girl weigh

nifer Marie. She is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. For

and Mrs. Ben Standerfer of
Walla Walla.

were business visitors to Hepp

Bill Roberts of Newman,
Calif, arrived Thursday to spend
a few days with his family
