Johnson of Eugene, and former Heppner residents, be came the bride of Jack E- Pol lucl:, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Polluck of Springfield at a pretty winter wedding on Satur day, December 12. The double ring ceremony was solemnized at Central Luth eran church in Eugene, with the Rev. Olaf A. Anderson of ficiating at the 2 o'clock double ring ceremony. Baskets holding floral arrangements of pink an J white carnations accented with large white satin bows, and flanked by tapers in candelabra, provided an attractive setting for the formal ceremony. Entering on the arm of her father, the bride appeared in a lovely floor length gown of tier ed lace with satin overskht, fashioned with scalloped neck line and loni? sleeves. Her el bow length veil of illusion net was held in place by a lace crown. She carried a white Bible, topped with a bridal spray of orchid and sephenotis. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Gail Hoskins, Heppner. Bride sraalds were Misses Martha Peterson, Hepp ner. and Randie Shuster, Spring field. The attendants wore match ing gowns of cranberry red sat in brocade, fashioned with bell- shaped skirts, with matching bow hats and shoes. They car ried bouquets of pink and white chrysanthemums. Frower girl was Jerri Agee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Agee of Heppner, and ring bear er was Larry Shults of Eugens. Serving as best man was Bob CNeil of Springfield. Ushers were Alvin Bean, Albany, and Jim Shults, Eugene. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Johnson chose to wear a Cold brocade afternoon dress with matching coat and access ories. Mrs. Polluck, mother of the groom, wore a sea green suit with complimenting brown ac cessories. Friends and relatives greeted tre couple at a reception which followpd immediately in ths church parlors, and another re ception was held that evening for the couple at the American Legion hall in Springfield. A tiered wedding cake center ed the serving table with car nations and candles adding at tractive decorations. Serving were Miss Emlee Ehrichs of Cor vallis. pouring coffee; Mrs- Mike Obeiman of Eugene, pouring Ui3 punch, and Mrs. Clint Agee of Heppner and Mrs. Jim Shults of Eugene, cutting and serving the cake. After a honeymoon trip to California, the couple is now at homo at 1446 Main Street in Springfield. The new bride, who was a member of the graduating class f t Heppner High school in 196 i, is now attending the Eugene Business Colleee. Her parents inoved frorm Heppner to EUgene last summer, where Mr. Johnson has a position with the city school system. The bridegroom attended Ore gon Technical Institute in Klam ath Falls, and was stationed for two years in Giessen, Germany, while serving in the army. Mrs. Cecil McDaniel and daughter Ginger are reportedly on tne sick list with the mumps. The Hardman community was saddened by two funerals here on Saturday. One was for Leslie Bleakman who was born and raised in this community and passed away in Montana. The other for Oscil Inskeep, also raised here, had been living on a ranch at Othello, Wn., and died in a Washington hospital. Neith er man was married. They brought home a new pickup. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Roberts and j family of Newman, California, arrived last Sunday to visit rela tives here. They had been delay ed enroute by high water and wash outs. Bill is on leave from the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wall and John and Mrs. Victoria Bible went to Portland Monday on business and for Mrs. Bible to return to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reavls have returned home from Hepp ner where Mr. Reavis received treatment for his arm which was injured when his pickup left the road here in Kinzua. Former Kinzua Mem Dies rv intprpsr to former residents of Kinzua was the report of the death of Clarence Merle Brown, known as Bull Brown. Mr. Brown passed away December 24 in L.a Grande and his services were held in Portland December 28 with interment at Rose City Cemetery. Wil liam Giebel and Bruce MtFarl ing who are all fraternity broth ers of the bridegroom. Layton Arnold, cousin of the bride, sang. "The Wedding Prayer." Oren Hornback was the organist. The bride came down the aisle on the arm of her father and was attired In a white floor length satin brocade gown featuring an inset at the midriff with floral design bead work of pearls and rrvstals The bell shaped skirt had a detachable train. On her hair she wore a matching rose design headpiece. Bridesmaids were Miss Karen Mackle. Portland, Miss Barbara Lowman, Westfir. and Miss Bar bara Coffin. Albany. Their dresses, accessories, and flowers matched those of the matron of honor. Sally Sumner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sumner of Hepp ner, wearing a pink floor length dress and carrying a basket of holly, was the flower girl. Ralph Martin was tne Desi man for his brother and ushers were Roger Averit, roster; rai- rick Keeley, Neotsu, both frat ernity brothers of the bridegroom, and Phillip Emert, jr. oi aaiem. Groomsmen were Roger Mink, of Salem and Albert Kasahara of Canby. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Holloway wore a dress of champagne lace with tiered skirt and matching accessories and a pink hat. Her corsage was of pink baby rosebuds. The bridegroom's mother wore a gold brocade dress with match ing walking Jacket, beige acces sories and a pink baby rosebud corsage. , After the ceremony tne orioai couple greeted their guests at a reception held in the church par lors. Sprays of flocked greenery adorned with red bells and bows were used on the pillars through out the room. On the bride's table was the tiered wedding cake with pink spiral candles in silver candle holders. Mrs. Arnold Holloway of Hills, boro. sister-in-law of the bride, served the punch and Miss Jean Martin, sister of the bridegroom, poured the coffee. Mrs. Kusscll Knichten served as hostess at the reception and cutting the cake were Mrs. Clayton Mann, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Clifford Beach, also a cousin of the bride. The ncwlywcds left on a wed ding trip to the Oregon coast.
