C Houghton Elemen tary school presented a Christ mas program to a large aud lence last Tuesday evening. The first 4 grades, taught by Mrs. Leon Bentley, Mrs. Harold Gugle, Mrs. Helen Stitzel, presented the play, with the upper 4 grades joining in the music accompan ied by Miss Rose Hoosier, 5th grade teacher. Also, the grade school band, under the direction of Al Reeves, played several Christmas selections. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stewart, Sharon and Tommy drove to La Grande Saturday to spend a few days with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Reeder and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart. Boardman to Start Kindergarten School BOARDMAN A kindergarten school will open here January 4, sponsored by the mothers Club of Boardman Grade school. It will be held each school day from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Any child who was five years of age by Novem ber 15 is eligible to attend. The cost will be $15 a month, and this covers supplies.
