The candle Hchtera were Alice Shelton of Lon Creek In pink and Sara Bowman In blue nylon dresses with white lace half hats. Frank Spivey was the rlnff bearer, Best man was Bob Stinkard. and ushers were Ellis McRoberts, William L. Smith, and Jim Sltnkard. Soloists were W. C Freeman who sane "A Marriage Prayer" and Mrs. Freeman who sans "Oh. Promise Me." accompanied by Mrs. Robert Kelso who played the wedding marches. The bride's mother wore blue lace with a carnation and or chid corsare. Immediately after the cere mony, a reception was held In the church annex. The serving table was centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped with a bride and groom. After the first slice of cake was cut by the new Mrs. Mattison, the cake was cut and served Dy Mrs. Walter Bastian. Mrs. Frank Fer rel poured coffee and Mrs. James Shelton served punch. They were assisted by Mrs. Earl Norris. Miss Sharon Mabe was in charge of the guest book. When leaving for their wed ding trip to San Diego the bride wore a pink linen dress with white accessories. Upon their re turn they will make their home In Kinzua where David Is em ployed by Kinzua Corp. Mrs. Mattison attended schools in Kinzua and Fossil, graduating with the 1964 senior class. Mr. Mattison attended schools in California and has done service with the U. S. Army. Both ladies are nieces of Mrs. Becket, which she had not seen since she left Wisconsin 57 years ago. Also visiting here are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Glaesmer of Bed Bluff. Calif., and Mjcs. Adolph DeGeorge of Redwood City, Calif., both sisters of Mrs. Becket and aunts of the ladies visiting from the East Money receipt books in dupli cate and triplicate are on sale at the Gazette-Times. A group of Kinzua -oouers Wives" entertained the men of the club with an evenirur of golf, cards and dancing on Sat urday night. A husband-wife mixed two ball foursome was "slugged out" by all present and much to the amazement of all there were no casualties and all were on speaking terms when the swinging was over. A tie for low score between Ed and Meridel Wham and Milt and Marl Borln? was the outcome. an Issue which was not settled but left as is. On Sunday, a Father -ion Scotch Foursome Tournament was played to climax one of the busiest week-end of the sea son. Fathers who had no sons available, borrowed from those with more than one and believe It or not some fine golf was turned in with most of the "Boys" crowding "Dad" to hold ur his end of the clay. The con testants were Dlaced in four classes according to the age of the boy as some dads were a bit reluctant to date themselves. When the last putt had been holed, winners were declared to be: Under 10 years, Kent Bell and Milt Boring; 10 through 13 John and Ernie Wall: 14 and over. Vic Bowman and Wayland Hyatt; senior boys, Ned Nickel son. Jr.. and Ned Nlckelson, Sr. The day was made complete when a home-made ice cream festival was served the entire grouD. Musical entertainment was provided by The Patriots," Mr. and Mrs. Don Brock and Don Slinkard. Everyone pro nounced this to have been a wonderful day. KINZUA The concluding program of the two weeks IViily Vacation Bible school was held Friday evening at the church. The program started Hh the children marching in unglng Onward Christian Soldier and talute to the American Flag, the ChrUtlan Flag and the read ing of Bible Scripture. Several hvmns were ung and award were presented for perfect at tendance and to beginners for learning all ten memory verse. The oecinner tnen sang "Jcus Loves Me" In Japanene. Johnny Thieme was awarded $5 toward camp expenses fur bringing the most people to Bible School. Mrs. Lucy Plank told the parents about Camp Morrow which Is near Wamic and Betty Plank. Vlckl Wham. Sharyl Mabe and Shellie Gutnn did a skit about going to camp. Miss MJiaiia por directed the children in saying a few words in Japanese then helped them sing Yukl Nu (Rolled Away). Wa Ga Shu Jcsu (Jesus Loves Mo) and Al Narl which Is "God is Love" Miss Spoor wore typical Japanese dress and gave a talk with slides of Japan, where she lived and worked while there. She has been a missionary to Janan for 11 var 1 While here she cooked some Jap lanese meals which were Interest ing and different.
