HEPPNER GAZETTE-TIMES, Thursday. December 19. 1963 County Court Proceedings County Court met in regular sess on on November b, law. The minutes of the previous term were read and approved. A license was granted to Arthur Dyke for the operation of the Fiesta Bowl. Max Jones, Boardman, was ap pointed as an additional mem ber ot the fair Board, to serve until January 1, 1965. An ordinance fixing maximum weight loads for County Bridges was passed by the County Court. It was resolved that a portion of Montana Avenue, Sec. 23, T 5 N., R 26, EWM be vacated. Just over 8000 of the 10,426 students attending OSU are from Oregon. Forty-six other states and 66 foreign countries are rep resented among the out-of-state students. Prideaux, chairman of the Oregon Savings Bonds Committee, of the award ing of a United States Treasury Depratment' Citation to the Gazette-Times, Heppner. The Citation was presented to the publication in recognition of its long-time support of the Savings Bonds program, and par ticularly for its backing of the Freedom Savings Bonds drive which was completed earlier this year. It carries the following word ing: "United States Treasury De partment Citation to Gazette Times in recognition of patriotic service in strengthening the Na tion and its citizens through the United States Savings Bonds pro gram."
