THE m sSSgF HEPPNER GAZETTE-TIMES Heppner, Oregon, Thursday, November 28, 1963 Sec. 2-4 pages lone Festival Set December 8 By KATHERINE LINDSTROM IONE Home Economics club of Willows Grange met at the home of Mrs. Oscar Lundell with Mrs. Stella O'Meara and Mrs. W. C. Crawford as co-hostesses. Nineteen members and guests were present. Election of officers was held with Mrs. Berl Akers chosen as president; Mrs. Lewis Halvorson as vice president; Mrs. Art Dal zell as secretary, and Mrs. Lee Palmer as treasurer. The Fall Festival was an nounced for December 8 at the Grange hall. All community or ganizations are invited to coop erate in the festival as they did last year. Dinner will be served by the Grange ladies beginning at 12:00 noon. Tickets for adults and high school students will be $1.50, for grade school students, $1.00, pre-school children will be free. This is a buffet style din ner. On December 14, installation of Pomona and Subordinate Grange officers will be held in lone, with Bob Cable, state Grange deputy, as installing of ficer. The meeting will convene at 10:00 a.m. with a potluck dinner at noon. The regular meeting of Wil lows Grange will be held Sun day, December 15, preceded by a potluck dinner at 12:30. A Christmas program will be given with Santa Claus making a visit with treats for the children. The next Home Economics club meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lee Palmer on De cember 20 with Mrs. Marion Palmer as co-hostess. Gifts will be exchanged and secret pals revealed. Guests at the meeting were Mrs. Eulenna Corley and daugh ter Cheryl and Mrs. Harriet Bol man of Seattle. Craig Chambers of Salem was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jepsen and family. Mrs. Herval Pettyjohn and young son, Wayne, spent several days at the home of her mother, Mrs. Arthur Crawford. They re turned to their home in Yakima, Wn. Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Baker de parted for sunny climates on Saturday. They will spend Thanksgiving with' their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Baker and family at Sunnyvale, Calif, and then will go on to Arizona to spend the winter. There's no obligation. If your guess is closest, you win that store's prize. 7. In case of ties, winner will be determined by drawing or flip of coin. 8.
