HEPPNER GAZETTE-TIMES, Thursday. November 14, 1963 Ski Club Booster Night Scheduled A stvle show and a soeclal ski movie will be shown at Booster Night for the Arbuckle Ski club on December 7 at the new high school multipurpose room. Those interested are asked to reserve the date. A potluck dinner will start the evening. The style show will be presented through the cooper ation of several local stores and will feature the latest and best in ski togs. Jim Miller is presi dent of the club. Everyone is welcome. Band Parents Set First Meet of Year The Heppner band parents will hold their first meeting of the year Monday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Junior High band room at the old high school gymnasium. The grade school band will give a short concert which will be followed by a business meet ing. . , , , All parents are urged to come and support the band. Mrs. Bud Springer, was a week-end visitor at the home of her parents in Heppner. With Ginger was a friend, Pat Stan del,, Salem. Both girls are stu dents at OCE in Monmouth. Sat urday the girls accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Springer to La Grande to watch the OCE-EOC football game. The Springers' son Dick, a freshman at OCE, was in the starting lineup for his school. After; the game Dick returned home with his parents and on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Springer drove three students back to their school. Memorial Service For Cindy Peck Set A memorial service for Cindy Louise Peck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Peck of Hepp ner, will be at Hope Lutheran church Saturday, November 16, at 2 p.m. Cindy was born November 17, 1959, at The Dalles and died November 12 at Fairview Home, Salem. Surviving are the parents, two brothers, Terry and Bobby; a sis ter, Francis; and three grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hunt of Heppner and Mrs. Burt Peck of Lexington. Gifts may be given to the Cindy Peck Memorial fund in care of Hope Lutheran church. Daughter is Born To Darryl Brunings Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Bruning, Portland, became parents of a 9 lb., 1 oz. daughter on Thurs day, October 24, at the Emanuel hospital in Portland. Mrs. Brun ing is the former Janice Driscoll. The little miss has been named Jodi Rae. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Driscoll, Heppner, and her great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Fortner of Boardman. Paternal grandmother is Mrs. Myrtle Bruning of Pendleton. . Mrs. Driscoll spent the past two weeks at the Bruning home helping care for her new granddaughter.
