LEXINGTON A "get-to
gether" of the five children of
the late Charles and RhoJa Jones
of Union, Ore. was held at the
Cecil Jones home on bunday,
September 1. Dinner was enjoyed
at noon after which the group
spent the afternoon visiting.
Those present were daughters
Mrs. Bonita Stitts of Yakima,
Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Brunelle of
Grandview, Wn., Mrs. W. I.
(Myrtle) Miller of La Grande,
and sons William N. of Portland
and the host, Charles C. Jones.

were, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Can
ham and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Canham and children of Seattle,
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crow and
children of Hermiston, Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Lovelace of Port
land, Charlene Jones and Glenn
Eatch of Portland and Florence
McMillan of Lexington.
Ramona Smith, small daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith,
is a patient in Pioneer Memorial
hospital suffering head injuries
received while at play bunday,
Rev. and Mrs. Smith will have
to postpone the date of their de
parture to their new home at
Jasper for about a week.
Rod Rogers, small son of Mr,
and Mrs. John Rogers of Hepp
ner, visited his grandparents, Mr,
and Mrs. Armin Wihlon, over the
week-end. While here he was
taken ill and spent several days
in Pioneer Memorial hospital.

Florence McMillan were La
Grande and Pendleton callers on
Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Majeske
and family returned home on
Tuesday from a vacation spent
at the coast and at Maupin with
the Jack Mounts family.

after a 10 day visit at the Vic
Groshens, Jr., home. Kenneth
Jones returned to his home after
several days visit in Rufus.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Papineau
of Lexington have a son born
in Mrs. Papineau's former home
city of Tacoma, Wn., Friday. He
weighed 8 lb. 8 oz. and is their
first child.
Mr. and Mrs. Asa Way, who
have been in Burns for the sum
mer, are parents of their first
child, a 6 lb. 3 oz. daughter, born
Friday in Burns. Mr. Way, who
attends Portland State College
in the winter, has been working
in Burns during the summer.
Greece Davidson was a pat-
lent in Pioneer Memorial hos
pital for a tonsillectomy last
week. The operation was per
formed Tuesday,
