THIRTEEN STUDENTS of the Adventist Church School here were
"invested" in six different levels of attainment Saturday, April
27. They were given their scarves and pins by Elder A. J. Reisig
of Spokane, Wn. Reisig is director of youth activities for the
10,000 Seventh-day Adventists of the Upper Columbia conference.
This includes portions of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Mrs.
Amanda Wadsworth, Adventist school teacher, has been in
charge of these six classes In addition to her reqular duties:

Final Rites Held
For Mrs. Leathers

day afternoon, April 26, for
Dillie Cramer Leathers who
passed away Wednesday, April
24, in Pendleton, at the age of
HO years.
She was born in Kansas on
March !), 1877, came to Hard-
man as a small child with her
younger sister and their father.
She was married o Hollie Leath
ers in 18. They made th ir
home in the Hardman area un
til moving to Kimborly in 1922
where she spent the remainder
of her life. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Hollie,
who passed away March 9, l!).'i(i.
Survivors include five sons.
Carl of Portland, Loyd and
Arch'e of Long Creek, Roy of
Day ville, Wayne of Kimborly;
three daughters, Audra Allen of
Ifrrmiston, Mable Roach of
Kimborly, Grace Duncan of
Portland, one daughter. Isa
bel 1, died in infancy. She also
haves 18 grandchildren, and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.

school principal, took a group
of the senior class to La Grande
last Thursday to visit Eastern
Oregon college. They included

test, and as a start to revive
the community calendar.

The election for school direc
tor and for the advisory board
from this area will be held May
6 at the school house. Mem
bers of advisory board whose
terms run out are Roy Partlow
and Ralph Skoubo. At present
no one has filed to run in their
place.
