Games were played and an exchange of gifts was enjoyed following the mooting. At this time the Odd Fellows met and shared in the party fun. The Legion and Auxiliary had their Christmas party Saturday night in the Legion hall. Santa handed out presents to one and all. A choral reading was given by eleven high s hool girls of the speech class. The grade school presented the Nativity tableau, and the Riverside High school band, under the leadership of Al Reeves, played several num bers. The annual Christmas party of the Boardman Garden club was held Monday night of last week at the home of Mrs. Kusseii Mil ler. Hostesses were Mrs. Florence Root. The larce sicn at the Nugget Motel was blown over and the Christ mas decorations on top of the motel were blown off. Many trees were down in town and on the project. The first storm hit here early the Sunday before, and it caused a lot of trees to go down also. Rain accompanied Wednesday s storm, ana an ear lier storm about 4:30 p. m. brought rain. Christmas visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Ely were their sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lilly and children Jimmy, Janet, Jay, Jerry and Jovce of La Grande, and Mr. and Mrs. Newell Vaught and daughters Gail and Kelly of Richland, Wn.
