Mrs. Charles Williams came from Sacramento, Calif., recently where she and her son will spend a couple of weeks with relatives, Williams is stationed in sacra mento with the Air Force. Ivan Gienger of Hermiston and two daughters of Long Creek, spent last week-end in his par ent's home, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gieneer of Cottonwood. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mcwuns and Earl Lewis drove to Prlne ville last Friday to do Christmas Heppner shopping. Mrs. Jessie Scott, son Kooert and Dale Matteson, drove to Pendleton last Monday to Christ mas shop. Mrs. Stella Mccarty and Mrs. Earl Lewis drove to John Day recently. Mrs. Earl Lewis drove Mrs. Tom Earhart home from John Day that evening where her husband was operated on. Crane Mustangs, came here to play the Monument Savages last Friday evening. The girls won both eames. and the boys score was 46 to 47 in favor of Crane. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hunt of Fox, were Sunday guests in the home of his mother, Mrs. Rita Hlnton recently. Owen Smith and Henry cup per, Jr., drove to waiia wana Dec. 4, where they played in a bowling tournament on Sun Mr. and Mrs. JacK tjavenaer went to John Day last Friday. December tl. mi 3 Blonde, bloe-eyed Mn. Emily Terrall, of St. Helem, Oregon, is the new "Mrs. United States Savings Bonds of 196 2." As a Treasury volunteer Goodwill Ambassador, she will tour the nation during the coming year in the promotion of Savings Bonds. The 37-year-old housewife won the title from among 51 state con testants for the "Mrs. America" title in competition just closed at Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she appeared as "Mrs. Oregon." The Terrall family Is no stranger to Savings Bonds. Husband of the new "Mrs. Savings Bonds" is on industrial engineer, ond buys bonds regularly on the Payroll Savings Plan. Mrs. Terrall, an alumna of the University of Washington, has been active in the PTA-sponsored school stamp program. And needless to say, their three sons aged 7, 9 and 1 2 are all avid stamp buyers.
