MOST OF the clubs and lodges
are planning the Christmas
port It and programs, and of
course many church and school
programs. You and your children
will be taking part In many of
these. The children have drawn
names at school and as the time
draws near they are doing lota
of looking and wishing. "Mom,

them help you with your holi
day decorations around the

Jens BJerre, at the Bookworms
meeting November 28. The book
was written In Danish and trans

OES SOCIAL club members had
lunch at the Episcopal bazaar,
Saturday, prcceeding play at the
lodpe hall with two tables of
bridge and two pinochle. Inez
Huffman won high in bridge and
Martha Van Schoiack high for
pinochle.

SATURDAY WAS not the day for
the Jack Bedfords! They had
invited guests in for a clam din
ner when some of the lights
went out in the kitchen. Of
course, it had. to be one over
the stove, so they called the
guests, Dr. and Helen Schaffitz
and Jim and Mary Ellen Myers,
to tell them dinner would be
late. Thanks to neighbor and
electrician Henry Stroeber, the
difficulties were corrected. All
went well until Jack decided to
build a fire in the fireplace!
Nothin' but smoke! Anyhow, it
all lent for an interesting and
different evening!
