The Mustang vnr sity was scheduled to take part but could not make the date and keep its appointment with Mm ras In league play, and so tho freshmen will fill In. He has two likely looking prospects that have made the varsity. Lee Pad berg, 6 0, Is taking a forwerd position, and Doug Dubuque, 6-1, Is a center. Both had freshman experience at the school. The Mustangs will use a 1-3-t ,-,,i.f,,r.mnr offense and will work on a fast break on offewe and a full court piess on aetense, tho coach said. Practice sessions hive been rigorous, and considerable time has been devoted to leg and arm development througn use of weights. So far, the squad ha shown good hustle and spirit, the mentor declared. They h&v been working on new offensive patterns. While prospects for a good team do not look too bad. the Mustangs are sure to be Involved In a tough conference. Madras, with whom they open here De cember 1 and 2, are state A- champions of VMJi CI. They have only two returning Hterrr.cn. however, one if whom w" a starter with the champion mo.
