Ask a member of the St Al ban's Acolyte and Server's Guild what this All Saints' Episcopal for boys and young men is all about, and you may get an an swer something like this: "Well, it's sorta like this we try to practice Christianity by working for Christ and His church, being a good citizen, and taking time out of our dally lives to worship and serve, Father Spencer tells us we are Soldiers for Christ,' Just as St Alban was back in the early history of the church In England. Only he gave all of his life and e ve all we can to tne r5 -T) mm imwsmm church." Any boy from 9 to 17 years of ace who does not have a church home or family prefer ence Is eligible for this boys' club. They serve as altar boys, attend the Instruction classes, catechism training sessions, and regular meetings. All races and creeds are welcome. Holy bap tism Is the only requirement for admission to active participation. Regular church attendance and serving as scheduled are the other requirements. Within the guild Is the rifle team, headed by Gene Hall of Ruggs. The camping and cook outs are led by Father Spencer and the boys' choir is led by Gordon Pratt. An advisory council is provld Claude Buschke of Gilliam and Blsbee Hardware. A new survival and mountain climbing group is being organ ized by Abrams for St Alban's lads of 14 to 17 years of age. Further details will be announ ced at the first monthly meet ing of St. Alban's for the winter season on October 7. Funds for support are largely earned by the guild through pro ceeds derived from the St Al ban's spaghetti dinner through the efforts of Winn Crist and the lads. The Cowboy Bar-B-Q was also instrumental in lin ancially supporting the youth work through the efforts of the Episcopal Church Men. One anonymous Individual equipped the rifle team through a generous loan. Another anon ymous supporter supplies the groceries for the monthly break fasts, the first Saturday of each month at 10 a. m., and for cook outs. Others have donated time and transportation to and from their various activities St Alban's started four years ago with five boys. Since that time the group has grown to more than 30 with a staff of eight senior members. Present members are Charles Anderson, Eric Anderson, Steve Anderson, Mark Labhart, Chris Labhart, Timothy Loyd, Matthew Murray, Mark Murray, Jonathan Arthur Burkenblne, Thomas Drla coll, Neal Penland, Michael Crist, Stewart Grlbble, Gerald Bunch, and Gerald O'Malley.
