The Horse Fly Saddle Club of Gilliam county held a trail ride at the Eubank cabin in the mountain Monday through Thursday with 33 members and parents present. Rides were ta ken each day with new horizon In sight. One day they rode to and investigated the Opal Mines, another day they went to the lookout on Madison Butte. Twenty-eight riders participated in the daily jaunts. Art Dalzell and Bill McClln tock went with Fred Griener and Jasper Edwards of Condon, ante lope hunting recently near Burns. The men were successful. This was the first year Mr. Dalzell had applied for a tag and was fortunate to receive one. A coffee party was given Fri day afternoon for Miss Marie von Roesgen of Luxembourg at the home of Mrs. Mable Cotter assisted by Mrs. Bill Melena. Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Lujan re turned to lone on Saturday to prepare for the opening of school. Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Crawford and family visited in lone with relatives during the week-end. Guest speakers consisted of two editors and 2 assistant editors, one being a fiction writer, a non fiction writer, a feature writer and a news reporter. The clinic was well attended and Mrs. Bar nett said It was very educational and informative.
