Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bergstrom returned home the last of the week after visiting and sightsee ing through Yellowstone Nation al Park. Bobby Ball, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ball was among a group of Walla Walla Union Bulletin car riers who enjoyed a week-end trip to Wallowa Lake this past week-end. Each boy, to be eli gible to go, had to obtain 14 new customers. The boys en joyed swimming, hiking, bowling and other activities, of which a mile horse back ride into Ice Lake was taken. They "roughed" it, sleeping under the stars and eating outdoors. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Boyce and family vUited In Portland last week for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stelger and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Van Hubbard vis Ited In Dayton, Wash, on Tues day with relatives. Rememberd On Birthday A coffee hour for Mrs. Robert DcSpaln was held at the home of Mrs. Walter Corlcy, with Mrs. Corley, Mrs. Arnle Hedman and Mrs. Ray Boyce as hostesses. Around fifteen friends gathered to wish Mrs. DeSpaln "Happy Birthday." Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Kirk have moved into the Jesse Griffith house on second street. Mr. Kirk Is the foreman at the Stone Ma chinery shop. Mrs. Walter Corley went to Boardman on Tuesday to accom pany her mother, Mrs. Bill See- hafer to Klamath Falls on Wed nesday to meet Mrs. Duane Es sex and daughters of Sacramento, who will be visiting relatives in Boardman and lone the next two weeks. Mrs. Ron Tye and family of Enterprise was also visiting at this time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill iee- hafer. She went on to Pendleton to visit with relatives there while await ing the Shrine Football game to be held. In Pendleton this com- 19.r8, now making her home In Lebanon, was one In a group of women parachutists who took part In the 15th annual "Fly In" In Lebanon last week. She Is a member of the Willamette parachutists club. After complet ing high school here, she was a member of the Waves for several months.
