Livestock Brand Inspec tion A time limit of 15 days was placed on the life of brand Inspection certificates, previous ly "ever lasting." (3) Predator Ani mals Repeal of a section of the predatory animal law eliminates state bounties on cougars, wolves wildcats, bobcats, lynxes, and other predators. Counties may continue to pay bounties on these animals. (4) Meat Inspection- Minor amendments to the state meat inspection act eliminate the "cold" or post-mortem of farm slaughtered animals. A great variety of losses occurred, among them 133 sheep, 221 lambs. 106 chick- ns, 33 calves, 7 ducks, 20 pigs, 6 goats, 2 geese, 2 cows, 17 game chickens, 3 grouse, 2 antelope, and 38 deer. Among the preda tors causing this loss were bob cat, raccoon, coyote, dogs, eagles, bear, hawk, fox, skunk, wharf rat, owls, and some unknowns. A variety of losses were listed for each county with Morrow having one of the fewest. Trappers Carl McDanlel and Jerry Rood are on continuous duty to relieve these losses In our county. The good catches of predators that they have chalked up protects our people from losses which could be much heavier.
